Rosehip & Jojoba Rollerball 10ml
My limited luxury facial oil that is my true tradition to celebrate the start of winter. As soon as we have the first big frost the rosehips are ready and I love nothing more than going out for a forage and hand picking the juicy ones. After grinding them up to release all of the vitamin c from the flesh and the seeds. I slow infuse them in organic jojoba oil. The most delicate oil with smaller molecules, most suitable for the pores on the skin of the face. Jojoba oil comes from the nut of the jojoba plant and is extremely nourishing, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant so protective against oxidative stress caused by everyday exposure to pollutants and other toxins. These anti oxidant properties are also believed to support collagen synthesis.
I also add to the infusion a blend of dried organic herbs, rose, lavender and calendula for all of their skin supportive properties. Rose is particularly anti-inflammatory and great for protecting the skin from moisture loss and preventing free radicals and toxins from entering the skin. Lavender and calendula known for soothing and healing sensitive skin as- well as deeply hydrating it.
The final magic ingredient is Doterra(100% therapeutic grade) Geranium essential oil which I add after the herbs have been strained. Leaving a bright orange delicious smelling all natural nourishing oil. I only make a small amount as many love to have enough to last them all year round.
Designed to be used on the face but also a great oil to use on stretch marks and scars or perhaps on a pregnant or post part tummy.
